Since you said the mic works if you connect the external, perhaps work with that? Are your speakers external? You might have to re-insert them and select them as primary. I checked the privacy settings and it's enabled. The microphone seems to work everywhere else except Zoom. I went into the Zoom settings, chose the proper microphone, tested it, and it did not work.
